Ministers condole death of Kamran
DHAKA, June 15, 2020 (BSS) – Ministers and State Ministers from different ministries today expressed profound shock at the death AL central executive committee member and former Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.
In separate condolence messages, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed, Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam, Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan and Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim condoled the death of Kamran.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain, State Minister for Industries Ministry Kamal Ahmed Majumder, State Minister for Water Resources Zahid Faruk and deputy Minister of Water Resources Enamul Huq Shamim also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the former mayor.
They prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
The former Sylhet city mayor breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka at 3:00am today.
Kamran had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 7.
