Momen mourns death of Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran
DHAKA, June 15, 2020 (BSS) – Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former Sylhet City Corporation Mayor and Awami League central executive committee member Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.
In a condolence message, Momen, who is also representing Sylhet-1 constituency at the parliament, termed Kamran as a cherished leader and guardian of mass people of Sylhet.
Momen said the country has lost a noted politician in his demise while it created an irreparable loss in the politics of Sylhet.
He prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.
The former Sylhet city mayor breathed his last at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka at 3:00am today.
