DHAKA, June 15, 2020 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran.
Kamran, a member of the Awami League central executive committee, died of coronavirus infection at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here in the early hours of today.
In a message of condolence, Anisul recalled the contribution of Kamran to development of Sylhet city and wellbeing of its people, an official release said.
“He left a vacuum in the politics of Sylhet. Kamran’s death is an irreparable loss to Sylhet and the country as well. He would be alive forever through his works,” law minister said.
The minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
