DHAKA, June 14, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of veteran politician and state minister for religious affairs Alhaj Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah.
In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
In a separate condolence messages, JS Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury also condoled the death of Sheikh Md Abdullah and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Sheikh Abdullah, also former religious affairs secretary of Awami League, died of old age complications at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka last night.
He was 74.
