DHAKA, June 14, 2020 (BSS) – A number of cabinet members today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of veteran politician and state minister for religious affairs Alhaj Advocate Sheikh Md Abdullah.
In separate condolence messages, they prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Those who condoled Abdullah’s death include Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin, Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmed, Railways Minister Md. Nurul Islam Sujan, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen , State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali and State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
Sheikh Abdullah, also former religious affairs secretary of Awami League, died of old age complications at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka last night.
