MMC Dr Amdad Ullah brought to capital for better treatment
DHAKA, June 13, 2020 (BSS) – Assistant Professor of Mymensingh
Medical College (MMC) Dr Mohammed Amdad Ullah Khan infected with
coronavirus was brought to Sheikh Russel Gastro Liver Institute and
Hospital in the city’s Mohakhali area by MI-171SH helicopter of
Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).
Dr Amdad Ullah was brought to the capital on emergency basis for
better treatment from the MMC where he was undergoing treatment after
being infected with coronavirus, said an Inter Service Public
Relations (ISPR) press release.
At the same time, Dr Shovan Rahman and Dr Marium Akter were also
flown to Dhaka by the same helicopter.
According to the release, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has been
providing emergency air transport and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC)
assistance in aid to civil power under Bangladesh Armed Forces.
In line with this, BAF Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal
Masihuzzaman Serniabat provided necessary guidance to carry out the
medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission.
