JU VC mourns death of Mohammed Nasim
SAVAR, June 13, 2020 (BSS) – Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) Prof Dr Farzana Islam today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League (AL) Presidium Member and former health minister Mohammed Nasim.
In a condolence message, the VC recalled the glorious political career of Mohammed Nasim and said the death of Nasim has created a vacuum in the arena of politics which is an irreparable loss to the country and political arena.
Dr Farzana prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Mohammed Nasim passed away at the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in city’s Shyamoli area this morning. He had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 1.
