Momen, Shahriar mourn at demise of Mohammad Nasim

DHAKA, June 13, 2020 (BSS) – Foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and
state minister for foreign affairs Md Shahriar Alam today expressed
deep shock and sorrow at the death of Awami League presidium member
and former minister Mohammad Nasim, MP.

In separate messages of condolence, the minister and the state
minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Terming Mohammad Nasim as a leader of mass people, Momen said the
country has lost a noted politician in the demise of Nasim that
created an irreversible loss to the politics of Awami League.

In a separate message, Alam said Mohammad Nasim had always been
working with the spirit of secularism and War of Liberation throughout
his life while the Bangalee nation would ever remember his
contribution to the country’s politics.

Former health minister Mohammed Nasim passed away at the Bangladesh
Specialised Hospital in city’s Shyamoli area this morning. He had been
undergoing treatment at the hospital since June 1.
