‘Massive infrastructure developments achieved in education sector’ – Khalid

MYMENSINGH, 13, 2020 June (BSS)- State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid MP today stressed the need for quality and knowledge based education through building up the students as worthy citizens and man of moral character.

” Keeping this in view present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing massive infrastructure developments in the education sector”, the minister said this while laying foundation stone of a four storied academic building of Jamsed Ali High school of Tarati union of Muktagacha upazila as chief guest this noon.

With Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shubarna Sarker in the chair, the inaugural function was attended among others by Secretary of the upazila AL Billal Hossen Sarker, Upazila Vice Chairman Alhaj Arab Ali, President of Muktagacha Press Club NazrulIslam , Officer- in charge Biplob Kumer Biswas , Upazila Education Officer Shadat Hossain , Secretary and Upazila Krishak League Golam Robbani.

Khalid urged the students to be more attentive in their studies to attain brilliant results and also called upon the teachers to be more dedicated and dutiful in their profession.

Education Engineering Department sources told BSS that, the government has sanctioned over TK two crore 83 lakh for construction of the academic building of the school.

Earlier, the State Minister inaugurated the maintenance works at Bapkir moor under Muktagacha Pourashava on Mymensing Tangail road.

Project implementation sources said government has sanctioned over TK 24 crore for Rigid Pavement and Flexible pavement works of the project.
