Quader mourns Mohammad Nasim’s death

DHAKA, June 13, 2020 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AL Presidium Member and former Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim.

In a condolence message, Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

The Bengali nation will remember Mohhad Nasim’s contribution forever as he had struggled for the establishment of a non-communal, democratic and equality-based progressive society for the people of the country, Quader said.

He said Nasim’s dynamic and strong role against dictatorship and military rule for establishing democracy will always inspire the next generation.

His demise has caused an irreparable damage to the Awami League, Quader said, adding that the freedom-loving people of Bangladesh have lost an honest, selfless and devoted person.

One of the four national leaders M Mansur Ali’s son Mohammed Nasim, also 14-party alliance’s spokesperson, breathed his last this morning at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in city’s Shyamoli area while undergoing treatment. He was 72.
