Fire breaks out at building in Mongolia’s capital
ULAN BATOR, June 12, 2020 (BSS/XINHUA) — A huge fire broke out at a 10-storey building under construction in the Mongolian capital here on Friday afternoon, according to the country’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
NEMA received a report about the fire at around 6:00 p.m. local time (1000 GMT).
The fire came less than a week after a massive fire destroyed the country’s State Department store.
Two brigades of firefighters have been working to extinguish the fire, NEMA said.
No casualties have been reported so far. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
