RAB-CHEAT-ARREST (with picture)
Cheat held in Rangpur
RANGPUR, June 12, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13
arrested an active member of an organised gang of cheats from in front
of the Press Club building on the Station Road in the city today.
On a tip off, the Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) of
RAB-13 arrested the man with a mobile phone set, two SIM cards and one
memory card from him.
“The arrested was Hamidul Sarker, 43, of village Hariram Hajirbazar
in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district,” said a press release
issued by Acting Company Commander of the CPSC of RAB-13 Additional
Police Super Md. Hafizur Rahman.
The arrested man admitted that he in connivance with his other
cohorts had been claiming close relations with officials of RAB,
Police, Army and high officials and cheating people by realizing money
from them through mobile banking for a long time.
“The elite force filed a case against the arrested person before
handing him over to Kotwali police station of Rangpur Metropolitan
police today,” the release said, adding that investigation continues
to nab other gang members.
