Tk 26,518cr proposed for home ministry
DHAKA, June 11, 2020 (BSS) – The government has allocated Taka 26,518 crore for the Ministry of Home in the proposed national budget for the fiscal 2020-21(FY21).
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal unfolded the national budget in the Parliament here today with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
He said Taka 22,660 crore has been allocated for Public Security Division and Taka 3,858 crore for Security Services Division of the Home Ministry.
Kamal also proposed Taka 20,765 crore as operating of the Public Security Division while Taka 1,895 crore will expense for development activities of the division.
Besides, Taka 2,513 crore will be spent for operation and Taka 1,345 crore for development activities of the Security Services Division during the FY21, the minister said.
According to the proposed allocation of the budget, Taka 902 crore higher compared to the revised budget of the FY 2019-20.
