IGP inspects DMP housing, Police lines construction progress

DHAKA, June 11, 2020 (BSS) – Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Benazir Ahmed today inspected the master plan for construction of housing and police lines of five units of DMP in Demra.

He also paid a visit to the under-construction facility at Kayetpara mouza in Demra and gave some instructions at the end of the inspection, said a press release issued here.

Benazir Ahmed emphasized on building sustainable facilities including department stores for the force and construction of high quality canteens along with enhancing the beauty of the river banks, added the release.

Out of the total 33.11 acres of land in Demra Rajakhali, 8.9 acres of land has been allotted for DMP. A police lines, multi-storey residential building and other facilities for DMP will be constructed on this land.

DMP Commissioner Mohammad Shafiqul Islam and other senior officials of various units of Bangladesh Police were present at the time, said the release.
