DHAKA, June 11, 2020 (BSS) – Finance minister A H M Mustafa Kamal in the proposed national budget for fiscal 2020-21 has set revenue target at Taka 3,78,000 crore.
“Out of this, Taka 3,30,000 crore will be collected through NBR. Tax revenue from non-NBR sources has been estimated at Taka 15,000 crore while non-tax revenue is estimated to be Taka 33,000 crore,” he said while placing the national budget at Jatiya Sangsad today.
“The target has been fixed bearing in mind the realities at hand and our planned reforms in revenue management,” added Kamal.
The finance minister unveiled a total of Taka 5,68,000 crore national budget for FY21, aiming to attain a 8.2 percent GDP growth rate through continuing the momentum of the economy with the required economic activities after tackling the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic.
