COVID deaths in Netherlands up by 11 to 6,042
THE HAGUE, June 10 (BSS/XINHUA) — The death toll from the novel coronavirus in the Netherlands grew by 11 since Tuesday to a total of 6,042, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) announced on Wednesday.
The number of people who tested positive in the country rose by 184 to a total of 48,087, while hospital admissions increased by 5 to a total of 11,805.
“The actual number of infections with the novel coronavirus is higher than the number mentioned,” the RIVM stated. “This is because not everyone who may be infected is tested for the virus.”
