JS budget session for FY 2020-21 begins
DHAKA, June 10, 2020 (BSS) – The budget session of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) for the fiscal year (FY) 2020-’21 began this afternoon maintaining the health guidelines and social distancing in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country.
The day’s proceedings began with the recitation from the Holy Quran at around 5pm with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
It is the eighth session of the 11th parliament and the second budget session of the Awami League government that assumed office after a landslide victory in the December 30 national election in 2018.
