OCAIB donates health protectives to RpMP front liners
RANGPUR, June 10, 2020 (BSS) – The Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh (OCAIB) donated medical and health protective materials to the front liners of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in an informal function held here on Tuesday.
A five-member OCAIB delegation led by its Chairman Andy Chen handed over the materials as a ‘Trusted friendship commitment to fight COVID-19’ to RpMP Commissioner Md. Abdul Alim Mahmud in the function held at his office.
RpMP officials today told BSS that the donated materials include personal protective equipment (PPE), hand sanitizers, masks and disinfectant chambers with necessary machineries and liquid, eye protection spectacles and other inputs.
After receiving the medical and health protective equipment and materials, Abdul Alim Mahmud expressed gratitude to the OCAIB authority saying that this cooperation would further accelerate the coronavirus prevention activities of Rangpur Metropolitan Police.
In response, Andy Chen assured that such cooperation from the Overseas Chinese Association in Bangladesh would continue in the future to assist the front liners of RpMP in fighting against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Additional Police Commissioner of RpMP Mohammad Abu Sufian, its Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Md. Mahidul Islam and Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Muttaki Ibnu Minan, the OCAIB delegation members and senior police officials were present.
