Int. Public Service Day observed in Gaibandha
GAIBANDHA, June 23, 2018 (BSS) – The International Public Service Day-18
was observed in the district today as elsewhere in the country and the globe
with a call to provide services to the people without any hassle.
This year’s them of the day is “Transforming Governance to Realise the
Sustainable Development Goals’.
Marking the day, the district administration chalked out the elaborate
programmes.
In the morning, a grand rally led by additional deputy commissioner
(General) Muhammad Mizanur Rahman was brought out from Independence Square
and ended in front of Zila Shilpakala Academy (ZSA) after parading the main
roads of the town.
Later, a discussion meeting was also held at the auditorium of ZSA with
additional district magistrate ABM Sadiqur Rahman in the chair.
Additional deputy commissioner (General) Muhammad Mizanur Rahman addressed
the meeting as the chief guest and additional police super Abdullah Al Faruk,
additional deputy director of department of agriculture extension Showkat
Osman and district fisheries officer Abdud Dayan Dulu were present as special
guests.
The speakers said that members of civil service will play an important
role to turn Bangladesh into a development and progressed nation through
implementing Vision 2021 and 2041 of the government.
The present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is firm to
create a digital, effective and skilled public administration to fulfill
hopes and aspiration of the people of Bangladesh, they said.
Additional deputy commissioner Muhammad Mizanur Rahman urged the officials
and the employees to provide their services to the people from their
respective positions sincerely and transparently to achieve sustainable
development goals.
