JAMALPUR, June 7, 2020 (BSS) – A milad mahfil seeking speedy recovery of former health minister and Awami League presidium member Mohammed Nasim was held at Sarishabari upazila of the district here today.
At the directives of State Minister for Information and local, MP, Dr. Hasan Murad special dua was offered for Nasim and other COVID-19 patients’ wellbeing in the mosques and other religious places of worship of the upazila, said a press release here today.
Nasim, also spokesperson of 14-party alliance, underwent a brain surgery at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital on June 5.
On June 1, Nasim was admitted to Bangladesh Specialised Hospital with Covid-19 symptoms, including fever and cold.
He later tested positive for COVID-19 and was rushed into surgery on Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage.
A 13-member medical board was formed consisting of specialist doctors for better treatment as his condition deteriorated from Saturday morning, the release added.
