CHATTOGRAM, June 07, 2020 (BSS) – Three workers of a factory were burnt to death and two others received injuries while melting hot iron rod at Mirarsari upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Gias Uddin, Nazrul Islam and Abul Kashem, workers of BSRM factory.
Officer-in-Charge of Jorarganj police station Mofiz Uddin Bhuiyan said the three workers received burn injurieswhile they were melting hot iron rod at BSRM factory on Saturday afternoon.
They were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where Kashem died in the evening while Gias Uddin and Nazrul Islam died in an ambulance on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital this morning, the OC said.
Two other workers – Nur Hossain and Md. Mohiuddin – are now undergoing treatment at CMCH.
