CHATTOGRAM, June 5, 2020 (BSS)- A corona unit comprising 10 ICU beds will be inaugurated at Chattogram Ma-o-Shisu Hospital tomorrow.
Dr Hasan Mahmud, Information Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League, will inaugurate the Corona treatment activities at the hospital as the chief guest through video conference at 11 am.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed, Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel and City Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will virtually present at the inaugural ceremony as special guests, Vice President of Chattogram Ma-o-Shisu Hospital Sayed Mohammad Morshed Hossain told BSS today.
Ten more ICU beds will be added at the hospital gradually, he said.
Sayed Morshed also said sample test activities will start at the hospital soon.
Earlier, the hospital authorities took an initiative to provide medical services to the corona patients with 10 ventilator facilities in the newly constructed building of the hospital.
