HABIGANJ, June 4, 2020 (BSS) – A minor and a teenager were killed and two were injured while fishing as thunderbolts hit them in Nowai village under Bhaubal upazilla of the district today morning.
The deceased were identified as Orkaid, 9, son of Dorod Mia of the village and Noros Uddin, 19, son of Abdus Salam of Manika Village.
According to locals, Noros, Orkaid, his brother Junaid and friend Usman went to Jaria Lake for fishing where a thunderbolt hit them.
Noros and Orkaid were killed on the spot and the two others were injured, said Bahubal Model Thana OC Kamruzzaman.
Locals rushed them to Bahubal Health Complex where the duty doctors pronounced Orkaid dead, added the official.
