ACC files case against ex-TCB executive, his wife

DHAKA, June 4, 2020 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against a former official of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) and his wife for allegedly acquiring illegal wealth worth Taka 1.23 crore.

ACC deputy assistant director Altaf Hossain filed the case with its Dhaka integrated district office-1 yesterday, said a press release of the national anti-graft watchdog today.

According to the case statement, former TCB assistant executive Ali Azam Khan and his wife Jahan Ara in collusion with each other accumulated wealth worth over Taka 1.23 crore through illegal means.

The case was filed under the Anti-Corruption Commission Act-2004 and the Penal Code 1860.
