RAJSHAHI, June 4, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three
alleged drug peddlers with 39.5 kilograms of ganja from a place in
Chapainawabgonj district town last night, Rab sources here said today.
The arrested persons were identified as Shariful Islam, 35, son of Entajul
Haque, Rimon Ali, 24, son of late Ikaramul Haque and Roman Ali, 24, son of
late Lal Muhammad.
Being informed, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Shantir More
area in Chapainawabgonj sadar upazila around 11.30 pm and arrested them with
the huge ganja after searching an autorickshaw, RAB sources said, adding that
the team also seized the rickshaw.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband
goods were handed over to police.
A case was filed with Chapainawabgonj Sadar police station in this
connection.
