Palak for using technology for safe life amid COVID-19
DHAKA, June 03, 2020 (BSS)- Terming technology as a driving force for safe lifestyle in the changed situation of coronavirus pandemic, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said that all have already understood the need and importance of using technology amid COVID-19 situation.
“Everyone is making the best use of technology right now. This use will continue in the future and the importance of technology will not decrease but increase,” he told the inaugural function of state-owned Sonali Bank’s digital service ‘Sonali-e-Seba’ here as the chief guest.
He said the ICT division has identified 2,800 services for digital transformation of administrative and bureaucratic works to deliver best services to the people by saving time and money and removing hassle.
A total of 600 services have already made digital, he said, adding that the ICT division is working with utmost sincerity to build a digital transaction and cashless society.
He added that another platform called ‘Interoperable Digital Transaction Platform (IDTP)’ is being developed with Bangladesh Bank.
Sonali Bank Ltd Chairman Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui and its Managing Director Ataur Rahman were present , among others, on the occasion.
