Freedom fighter Zahid Hossain passes away
DHAKA, June 3, 2020 (BSS) – Zahid Hossain, a valiant freedom fighter of Pirojpur district, died of cardiac arrest yesterday at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hospital in the capital.
He was 70, family sources said.
Zahid, freedom fighter commander of Swarupkathi upazila, left behind wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well wishers to mourn his death.
Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim expressed profound shock at the death of this freedom fighter and prayed for the eternal peace of his departed soul.
The minister said, “The country has lost a true and brave patriot at his death. His death is an irreparable loss to the nation.”
Rezaul conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
