2 alleged human traffickers remanded over Libya carnage

DHAKA, June 3, 2020 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today placed two alleged human traffickers on four-day remand each over the recent killings of 26 innocent Bangladeshis in Libya.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain remanded Mahbubur Rahman and Sahidur Rahman as investigation officer and CID inspector Mizanur Rahman produced the duo before the court and pleaded to place them on seven-day remand.

Earlier on June 2, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) filed the case against 38 under anti-human trafficking act with capital’s Paltan Police Station.

Human traffickers recently shot 30 people, including 26 Bangladeshis, dead in Mizdah, Libya and left 11 others injured in the attack. All the victims were trafficked to the war-torn African state en route to Europe.
