Two held with 1,500 yaba tablets in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 3, 2020 (BSS) – Detective police arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 1,500 pieces of yaba tablets conducting two separate drives in the district yesterday afternoon.
DB police sources said Detective Branch (DB) of police raided a road at Bahipara under Rohonpur municipality in Gomostapur upazila of Chapainawabganj district around 2.10 pm responding to a secret information and arrested one identifying Azam with 700 yaba tablets.
Later, the DB police team raided Fulkuri Paka road area in Nachole upazila of the district around 6 pm and arrested Prottoy with 800 yaba tablets.
Azam, 30 hails from Uzirpur village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district and Shree Prottoy, 20, from Nawhatta Bazar under Paba upazila in Rajshahi district.
The arrested persons were handed over to the Gomostapur and Nachole police stations with filing two separate cases.
