1600 poor people get cash money, rice in Mymensingh
MYMENSINGH, June 1, 2020 (BSS) – Department of Relief and Rehabilitation distributed Taka over 7 lakh in cash and rice among 1600 poor people in Muktagachha pourashava of the district recently.
Besides, a total of 174 metric tonnes of rice has already been distributed among 1900 destitute, poor and jobless people of the pourashava to mitigate the financial hardship of them, District Relief and Rehabilitation office (DRRO) sources said.
On the other hand, a total of 150 Imams and Muajeens of 75 Mosques of the pourashava got Taka 3.75 lakh in cash donated by the government’s welfare fund.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid distributed the money recently among the Imams and Muajeens at a function here.
