6 JMB men held in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 1, 2020 (BSS) – Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) -5 here in a series of drives arrested six active members of the banned Islamic militant outfit Jamaat-ul –Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) early today.
The arrestees could be identified as Sakirul Islam, 51, son of late Jahur Molla of Chakla Birpara village, Tariqul, 47, son of late Angur Munci of Chakla Duvnipara, Senarul Islam alias Lalmia, 40, son of late Unusahak of Chakla Ghontola, . Babul Aktar alias 500 Bakul, 40, son of late Ataur Rahman of Chakla Bazarpara, Ikramul Hoque alias Ishra, 50, son of late Nefaur Rahman of Chakla Vodnipara and . Ashraful Islam, 40, son of late Taleb Ali of Chakla Biswaspara all hailed from Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj district.
Acting on secret information, a team of RAB-5 from Rajshahi Mollapara camp conducted the drive at around 1 am and arrested the militant activists who remained fugitives for longs , RAB sources said .
The sources further added that the arrested persons were handed over to Shibganj thana police
