PM’s able leadership tackling corona situation successfully: Khalid
RANGPUR, May 30, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid
Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, said today the country is successfully tackling
the coronavirus situation considering all possible aspects from the
spread of the virus under an able leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.
He said the lockdown has been relaxed pondering the welfare of
future generation keeping in mind the economic prosperity and national
development.
The state minister was addressing two separate view-exchange
meetings held at the conference room of Bochaganj upazila parishad and
farmers’ training centre of Biral upazila parishad in Dinajpur
district as the chief guest.
Upazila level officials, political leaders, public representatives
and others involved with relief activities attended the meeting.
Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said that many developed countries of the
world are grappling to cope with the coronavirus situation. But, such
a situation has not yet arisen in the country, he added.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been taking all necessary measures
accordingly to ensure welfare of the countrymen. Without fearing the
spread of coronavirus, we have to win against the pandemic through
health consciousness,” he said.
He directed all concerned involved with conducting relief activities
of the prime minister to remain maximum alert so that no single needy
family was excluded from the lists of beneficiaries of the government
assistance.
The state minister thanked the young kids, children and adolescents
for staying-at-homes during the present situation caused by the
COVIT-19 pandemic though they always like to play on the grounds.
Bochaganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Fakhrul Hasna and Biral UNO
Zinat Rahman presided over the meetings.
Bochaganj upazila Awami League (AL) President Abu Sayed Hossain,
General Secretary Afsar Ali, Setabganj municipal Mayor Abdus Sabur,
Biral upazila Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Babu, Biral municipal Mayor
and upazila AL President Sabuzar Siddique Sagar and General Secretary
Ramakanta Roy attended the meetings.
