Bhola AL leader Afsar Uddin Babul passes away

DHAKA, May 30, 2020 (BSS) – Bhola district Awami League (AL) vice-
president, journalist, cultural activist and freedom fighter Afsar Uddin
Babul died of kidney-related ailments in a city hospital last night.

He was 68, according to a press release signed by Awami League Office
Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, here today.

Babul left behind wife, one son, one daughter and a host of well wishers
to mourn his death.

Afsar Uddin was the founding principal of Fatema Khanom Degree College,
named after the mother of AL leader and former minister Tofail Ahmed, MP.

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges
Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock at the death of Afsar
Uddin Babul.

In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the
departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
