One dies of COVID-19 in Panchagarh
PANCHAGARH, May 29, 2020 (BSS) – An octogenarian died of coronavirus
(COVID-19) at his house at Mohodpara village in Chilahati union under
Debiganj upazila of Panchagarh district here this ( Friday) morning .
The deceased, Soruj Ali, 80, had been suffering from paralysis and acute
respiratory problems for long, Civil Surgeon of Panchagarh Dr Fajlur Rahman
told BSS.
On May 12, Soruj came to his house from Dhaka. On 16 May, his sample was
collect by the health department . The report came positive on May 19.
After getting the positive report , the physicians advised him to take
treatment in the hospital but he did it as he was very illness.
The upazila administration imposed lockdown on his house along with
several other houses.
So far, a total of two persons died of coronavirus and 55 were infected in
the district . Of them, 10 persons returned home after getting recovery.
