Guidelines issued for using private vehicle to prevent COVID-19

DHAKA, May 28, 2020 (BSS) – As part of precautionary measures, the
Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued a set of guidelines
for using private vehicles to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

According to the guidelines issued by DGHS, hand sanitizers and protective
gears such as masks and gloves should be kept in cars before going outside.

Inside spaces of vehicles should be kept neat and clean and windows would
remain open during traveling to keep air circulation normal, the DGHS added.

People must maintain individual hygienic practices while sneezing and
coughing by using tissue paper and they should also clean their hands using
hand sanitizers before boarding vehicles, the guidelines added.

Other guidelines include wearing mask is mandatory for all passengers, if
anyone shows suspicious symptoms like cold or fever, keeping windows open to
ensure proper ventilation.

Besides, almost all spaces including seats, door knob and the air cooler
have to be disinfected, if it comes in contact with any passenger with
suspected symptoms.

If any passenger vomits inside the vehicle, disposable absorbent material
including disinfectant tissue should be used to cover it up. Later, the
specific spaces should be cleaned using adequate disinfectant.
