RAJSHAHI, May 24, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two
alleged drug peddlers with 313 bottles of phensidyl and a private car from
Chairman crossing area under Nachole upazila in the district early hours
today.
The arrested persons were identified as Shafiqul Islam, 28, son of Mofizul
Islam and Liton Mian, 20, son of late Abul Kalam.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the aforesaid
area around 6:30 am and arrested them with the phensidyl after searching a
private car, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the vehicle
along with Taka 10,500 in cash.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband
goods were handed over to police.
A case was filed with Nachole police station in this connection.
