Hasan mourns death of ex-Information Commission secretary Tawfiq
DHAKA, May 22, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister and Awami League
Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock
and sorrow at the death of former secretary (additional secretary) of
the Information Commission Tawfiq Alam.
In a condolence message, the minister prayed for eternal peace of
the departed soul and convoyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Martuza Ahmed also
condoled the death of Tawfiq Alam and conveyed profound sympathy to
the bereaved family.
Tawfiq Alam breathed his last at a city hospital today during
undergoing treatment at the age of 59.
He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives,
colleagues and admirers to mourn his death.
Additional Secretary of the 86th batch of Bangladesh Civil Services
(BCS), Tawfiq went to Post Retirement Leave two months before as
secretary of the IC.
