Former BIAA president Bahar passes away

DHAKA, May 20, 2020 (BSS) – Ahmed Fazlur Rahman (Bahar), former president
of Bangladesh Indenting Agents Association (BIAA), died of old-age
complications at his residence in the city on Tuesday morning at the age of
84.

Rahman was deputy honorary consul of Austria. He was the owner of Liberty
International, a member of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and
Industry (FBCCI) and Former Director of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (BMCCI).

He was also associated with Lions Club and several social organisations.

Late Rahman is the elder brother of Mahbubur Rahman, president of
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Bangladesh.

His Namaj-e-Janaza was held at Siddheswari after Zohr prayers. He was
buried at Banani graveyard.

He left behind two sons and two daughters, grand-children and a host of
relations, friends and well-wishers to mourn his death.
