Ensure marketing and transportation of seasonal fruits, agri products:
ministry
DHAKA, May 20, 2020 (BSS) – The Agriculture Ministry today asked the
authorities concerned to ensure smooth marketing and transportation of
seasonal fruits and agricultural products amid the coronavirus crisis.
It also requested the authorities concerned to ensure fair fare of BRTC
trucks in transportation of seasonal fruits and agricultural products and
increase banking transaction time period amid the ongoing crisis, a ministry
press release said.
Other requests include providing subsidy for fuel of the fruits-carrying
trucks, arranging pedestal fans in parcel trains and distribution of seasonal
fruits, including mango and lichi, as relief.
The ministry today sent separate letters to different ministries,
departments and agencies to this end.
