Govt continues relief operationsto keep people hunger-free: Khasru
Netrakona May 20, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali
Khan Khasru, MP today said the government continues carrying out countrywide
massive relief operations to mitigate the sufferings of common people
rendered by coronavirus outbreak.
“The government as per the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has
undertaken the biggest relief programme to keep the needy and jobless people
free from hunger during the on-going coronavirus crisis” he said while
distributing Eid gifts among the needy and jobless people from his personal
fund at Muktarpara ground here.
The state minister Khasru
handed over the Eid-gift packets containing sharee, rice, pulse, edible
oil, sugar, salt and semai among 1,000 distressed and jobless people.
Mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, prominent social worker
and president of district Mohila Awami League Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina, civil
society members and journalists were present there.
