DHAKA, May 19, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed
Mojumder today urged the factory owners of different sectors, including
readymade garment (RMG), to pay salaries and festival bonus to their
respective workers before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
“If workers are infected with coronavirus, proper treatment will have to
be ensured for them,” he said while distributing Eid gifts among the poor at
Adarsha High School premises at Mirpur area in the city, according to a press
release.
The state minister said the government is working relentlessly to tackle
the coronavirus situation.
“Factories will have to follow the 31-point instructions of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina and directives of the Ministry of Health during the COVID-19
crisis. Production will have to be continued maintaining the health rules and
social distancing,” he added.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has delivered cash assistance directly to the
unemployed poor through mobile banking, he said.
