NARSINGDI, May 18, 2020 (BSS) – Islamic Foundation district unit distributed Zakat from government’s Zakat fund among 250 destitute people.
Deputy Commissioner Syeda Farhana Kawnine handed over the Zakat at a simple function held on the premises of Narsingdi Islamic Foundation office on Sunday.
Office sources said a total of Tk 7, 50,000 were distributed among 250 poor people including a number of poor imams of the mosques, teachers of mass education and destitute men and women of the district.
Each of the persons received 3000 taka.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Komal Kumar Goash and Deputy Director, Islamic Foundation, Narsingdi were also present in the function.
