Geobond ’96 Foundation distributes food in Munshiganj
DHAKA, May 17, 2020 (BSS) – The Geobond ’96 Foundation of Dhaka University has provided humanitarian assistance to unemployed, helpless and destitute people in Munshiganj.
The Geobond ’96, an organization of ’96 batch students of the Department of Geography and Environment of Dhaka University, distributed food items among 50 helpless and floating people on the premises of Munshiganj Circuit House yesterday.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district Md Moniruzzaman Talukder handed over the aid bags to the helpless people as the chief guest while coordinators of Geobond ’96 Anowarul Haque Haider Royal, Syeda Rizwana Marina and Johura Habib Bappy were present.
Syeda Rizwana Marina said that the food items were distributed to the destitute and helpless people on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
She said district administration officials also took part in humanitarian assistance programme maintaining social distancing.
“The helpless people have expressed satisfaction after getting the food items in the holy month of Ramadan”, Anowarul Haque Haider Royal said.
