35, including drug traders held in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR, June 21, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 35
persons including 13 drug traders from different areas of the district in
last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning.
Police also seized 169 bottles of Phensidyl during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on
different charges.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested seven drug traders, Biral
Thana police arrested one person, Birganj Thana police arrested two persons,
Khansama Thana police arrested four persons, Bochaganj Thana police arrested
two persons, Phulbari Thana police arrested two persons, Nawabganj Thana
police arrested two persons, Birampur Thana police arrested three drug
traders with 169 bottles of Phensidyl, Kaharole Thana police arrested two
persons, Ghoraghat Thana police arrested two persons, Hakimpur Thana police
arrested five persons including three drug traders and Chirirbandar Thana
police arrested three persons.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with
different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
The arrested persons were sent to jail.
