PM mourns death of music director Azad Rahman
DHAKA, May 16, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed
deep shock and sorrow at the death of National Film Award-winning composer,
music director, singer and filmmaker Azad Rahman.
In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled Azad Rahman’s
contributions to the music arena.
“His (Azad Rahman) death has created a vacuum in the country’s music
arena,” she said.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
Azad Rahman passed away at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at Shyamoli in
the capital this afternoon at the age of 76.
