4 drown in Natore, Bogura
DHAKA, May 15, 2020 (BSS)-Four children were killed in separate drowning
incidents in two districts today.
Two children drowned in a pond at Bankuri village under Italy union of
Singra upazila of Natore district.
The deceased were identified as Arafat Hossain, 6, son of Ali Akbar of the
aforesaid area and Arafat’s cousin Nur Nabi,6, son of Aminul Islam.Both of
the deceased were students of class one at a local Brac school.
Italy union parishad chairman Ariful Islam said they fell into a pond
while they were playing adjacent to it.
Later, family members found their bodies floating in the pond.
Meanwhile, two cousins drowned in a pond at Islampur Kha-para village under
Dhupchanchia upazila in Bogura district.
The deceased were identified as Mobashsira ,4, daughter of Mahfuzar Rahman
and Nirab,5, son of Masum.
Locals said they went to play at nearby place and might be fell into the
pond afterwards.
Bogura Dhupchanchia Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mizanur Rahman said locals
recovered the bodies of the two children.
