Agri Ministry to hold view exchange meeting online tomorrow
DHAKA, May 15, 2020 (BSS) – In the backdrop of novel coronavirus pandemic, agriculture ministry will hold a virtual view exchange meeting on the marketing of agro commodities including the seasonal fruits like mangoes and litchis tomorrow morning.
With Agriculture Minister Dr. Muhammad Abdur Razzaque in the chair, the online (zoom platform) meeting will be attended by chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Agriculture Ministry Begum Matia Chowdhury, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and State Minister for Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
Agriculture Secretary M Nasiruzzaman will moderate the meeting, which will also be attended by lawmakers M Shahiduzzaman Sarker from Naogaon, Dr Shamir Uddin Ahmed Shimul from Chapai Nawabganj, Iqbalur Rahim from Dinajpur, Dr AFM Ruhul Haq from Satkhira and former central bank governor Dr Atiur Rahman as well as media personality Shaik Saraj.
Besides, senior agriculture ministry officials, different agency chiefs, deputy commissioners of Chapai Nawabganj, Rajshahi, Dinajpur and Satkhira, deputy directors of the agriculture extension department, vegetable and fruits exporters association leaders, super shop owners association representatives, fruit and orchard farmers, traders and concerned association representatives ,among others, will also be connected to the meeting.
