RANGPUR, May 15, 2020 (BSS) – A mobile court fined a vermicelli factory owner Taka 30,000 for producing and marketing sub-standard vermicelli under an unhygienic environment in the metropolis on Thursday afternoon.
Executive Magistrate Abu Sayeed with assistance of the Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) in a sudden drive at the vermicelli producing factory ‘Deep Food Products’ at Mahiganj Satmatha area of the metropolis.
During the raid, the mobile court fined owner Maksuda Akhter Poly of the factory Taka 30,000 for producing vermicelli and other foods items in an unhygienic and dirty environment under section 42 of the Consumers’ Right Protection Act, 2009.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (DB) of RpMP Uttam Prasad Pathak, Assistant Police Commissioner (DB) Md. Altaf Hossain and other officials and police forces were present.
