Govt extends suspension of transport movement till May 30

DHAKA, May 14, 2020 (BSS) – The government has extended the suspension of
the transport movement cross the country till May 30 next.

The suspension of transport services was extended as the ongoing general
holiday increased to May 30, said a press release of the Road Transport and
Bridges Ministry.

Emergency utility services like power, water and gas, fire service,
activities of ports (land, river and sea ports), cleanliness activities,
telephone, internet and postal services, the movement of all food and goods
carrying vessels on roads and water vessels on riverine routes,
transportation of goods of government projects, medicine and medical
services, transportation of medical equipment, baby food, electronic and
print media, industrial goods,

fertilizers, pesticides, animal fodder, fisheries and livestock products,
dairy products and daily essentials, vehicles carrying relief goods and
newspapers and pharmaceuticals industry and print and electronic media will
remain out of the purview of the shutdown, the release said.

No goods carrying vehicles will be allowed to transport passengers, it
added.
