JAIPURHAT, May 14, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad Whip Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Shawpan called for maintaining health related guidelines strictly to get protection from being infected with COVID-19 and tackle the spread of the lethal virus.
“As we generally don’t know about the carrier of the deadly COVID-19, so we will have to be more conscious by adopting and maintaining health care guidelines directed by the government and stay at home,” he said while addressing ‘meet the press’ function here on Wednesday.
He also urged people not to roam freely during the upcoming Eid to contain virus infection.
He said many people delebaretly entered the district from other parts of the country avoiding the surveillance of law enforcers, adding that “As novel corona virus carriers are not identified in general way, so, the internal returnees from capital or other parts of the country should maintain health related guidelines including staying in home quarantine”.
Turning to boro paddy harvesting, the Whip said the government is abled to solve the laborer crisis in the district as elsewhere in the country while workers are allowed to harvest the paddy by strictly maintaining the health rules.
